Kiwanis Xmas Special

HO HO HO! Merry Christmas everyone! Didn't yea have a jolly good time? I know I did and wasn't it a good deed? Caroling at Klang General Hospital was an extravaganza especially to the children and KEC Club's Xmas party was superb! We arrived at the hospital at 9am and started caroling with a group of Mdm Jo's church band. Watching the children putting a smile on their face is irresistible! Children from Wad 6A and 6B had a present and reporters were there to witness it all. We packed up and headed down to KEC Club for a fine buffet and crazy performances and games. I hope all of you guys really enjoyed the event!

Broga HIlls

Broga Hills, ah what a day! Didn't you enjoy yourself in this trip? I know I did! Thanks to Kiko and Victor everybody, give them a round of applause! We started our journey on 11th December 2010 at 9:15am and reached there about 11am. We gathered at the multipurpose hall of Zone B as we had a little intro from Dr Yap. We were all gathered into our rooms from B1-B8, wait, the Kiwanis had arrived! And just in time for lunch! We were allowed to play basketball, cycling, football and absolutely anything till 2pm. We played from 2pm-7pm where rock climbing, flying fox, kayaking, water sports and rope sports are ready to have fun with. Dinner and BBQ all the way and party like a rock star! The instructors have shown us a fantastic camp fire and performances for us to enjoy! Many of us stayed up late till 1am or more or most likely, not sleeping at all.

We were told to assemble by 5:30am as we're about to climb Broga Hills. Only the first peak... Watch the beautiful sun rise is something you don't get to see back home as I say in for everyone, it was breath taking! We had nasi lemak for lunch and waited for our bus to arrive. We've reached school at 1pm and safely returned home. : )

Gotong-royong

Early in the morning, another cloudy day and it was the best time for GOTONG ROYONG! Honestly, I never thought Klang would ever be cleaned. The staffs of S.S.Acmar and us, Key Clubers had joined this event along with Acmar International, Proton, HSBC you name it! With all the hardship in us, we cleaned the whole of Bandar Baru Klang in less than two hours! Great work guys! And now with a cleaner Klang, dengue will never step foot into our town again ( of course if they have a feet).

Tiam Yam Toh Teng

10:30 am most of us we already to head down to an Old folks home nearby the Indian Streets of Klang.
We had some transportation problem but no worries, its all been taken care off..The house is a mansion for 18 of them! It is said to be a paradise area as they could see nice scenery like the nature & river.... We bought them lunch and brought souvenirs...! There are about 18 of them, eight men and 10 women. Yes, they were happy to see us and so do we! We helped to clean, washed the dishes, sing songs to them and talked to them about their life. It touched my heart to see kids like us having the spare time not Facebooking but to see whats outside of the network. And so this trip is hereby a cherishable trip. Here's the fond memories with them as we said our last goodbyes to them...
